Originally anticipated to launch in August Minecraft Maps alongside the brand new Xbox One and PS4 editions of Minecraft, 4J Studios' PS Vita port with the popular franchise was unfortunately delayed and is still currently in development.
Even after Minecraft eventually launched late on current-gen platforms earlier this month, the planned handheld version was further postponed.
Giving fans an update for the development process on Minecraft: PS Vita Edition, 4J Studios confirmed on Sept. 16 that they are still hard at work on removing bugs but be prepared to send the title off for certification soon.
This small patch isn't adequate to be considered one of Minecraft's official numbered title updates for your console versions of the block-building title. Rather than adding additional content to the game, the patch only fixes a number of bugs that were mainly causing users to have various minor graphical and audio issues.
